The rugby Mini and Junior section won the prestigious Youth and Mini Club of the year prize at the recent National Rugby Awards at Twickenham.

The award was judged by England legends Jeremy Guscott, Jeff Probyn and Sue Day.The club was shortlisted along with five other M&J sections from around the country and won the overall prize after a rigorous judging process.

It is a ringing endorsement of all the hard work put in by the players, RDO, coaches, managers, parents, supporters and officials over the past few years and shows that the club is well positioned to make the most of the upsurge in interest that will surely be generated by the upcoming World Cup.

Details of our awards have featured in the Manchester Evening News

The club is now looking for new players at all age groups ready for what promises to be an exciting season. If you know anyone aged 5 to 16 whether they're new to the sport or an experienced player then email for details on how to get involved.
